These website terms provide a general framework. A signed service agreement, quote, rate confirmation, bill of lading, or mandatory law may contain more specific provisions and will govern where applicable.
Scope and governing documents
Rates, surcharges, fees, and services shown in an AtlasWay Shipping rate document are governed by that document, these terms, the applicable carrier tariffs in effect at shipment, and the carrier bill of lading. If documents conflict, the specifically agreed rate document takes priority unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Rates and validity
A rate is valid only for the stated effective period, shipment profile, route, equipment, and named parties. Changes to cargo, timing, capacity, fuel, currency, regulation, or requested services may change the final amount. Booking remains subject to carrier, equipment, and space availability.
Customer responsibilities
The customer must provide complete and accurate commodity descriptions, dimensions, weights, values, addresses, and regulatory information. The customer is responsible for suitable packaging, lawful tender of goods, and disclosure of dangerous, restricted, temperature-sensitive, or unusually valuable cargo.
Additional charges
Accessorial, contingency, customs, storage, demurrage, detention, inspection, redelivery, special-handling, and other charges may apply when they are required by the shipment or result from conditions outside the original scope.
Carriage and liability
Physical carriage is subject to the performing carrier’s bill of lading, tariff, and applicable transport conventions. Liability limits, notice requirements, and claim deadlines may vary by mode and jurisdiction. Customers should arrange appropriate cargo insurance when carrier liability would not cover the full commercial value.
Data and confidentiality
Commercial rate documents are confidential. Personal data supplied for booking and delivery may be processed and shared with carriers, agents, authorities, and service providers where necessary to perform the shipment, meet legal obligations, or protect legitimate operational interests.
Governing law
Unless a written agreement states otherwise, these terms are governed by applicable law in the contracting AtlasWay Shipping entity’s jurisdiction. Mandatory transport laws and international conventions continue to apply where relevant.
