Read the packing guide01What information do I need for a quote?
Origin and destination postal codes, cargo description, piece count, packed dimensions and weight, ready date, and the delivery deadline. Also flag hazardous, temperature-sensitive, oversized, or high-value cargo.
02How should I measure freight?
Measure the shipment after it is packed. Include the pallet, crate, handles, and any part that extends beyond the main package. Record the longest point in each direction.
03Why can the chargeable weight exceed the scale weight?
Large, light cargo uses more vehicle or aircraft space than its scale weight suggests. Carriers compare actual weight with dimensional weight and typically rate the higher figure.
04Can you move hazardous materials?
Some hazardous materials can move when they are correctly classified, packed, marked, documented, and accepted by the carrier. Share the safety data sheet and UN number before booking.
05When should I book?
Book as soon as the cargo details and ready date are firm. Extra lead time matters for ocean freight, oversized cargo, controlled goods, and deliveries with fixed appointments.
06What should I do if my shipment details change?
Tell your AtlasWay Shipping contact before pickup. A change in weight, dimensions, commodity, pickup time, or delivery access can affect equipment, documents, and price.
